Hongda Group is a
High-tech Group merging information and biological technologies into
an organic whole. It is one of the excellent private enterprises in
China. Hongda Industrial Garden was founded in 2000 at the High and
New-Tech Industrial Development Area in Changchun, which is a famous
science and culture city in Northen China.
Since it was founded in 1990, Hongda Group has been awarded many
prizes by relative governmental departments at all levels. Hongda
Group possesses the fixed capital has grown more than 100 times in
10 years. Its comprehensive building for research, manufacture and
administration occupies a construction area of 40 odd thousand
square meters. Hongda Group has been eulogized as "The head of
procession in Jilin province computer industry", and firmly believed
as the key enterprise in "Changchun Software Garden" -the software
industry base of National Torch plan in 2000. It has been authorized
by the postdoctoral management committee of National Personnel
Department to establish postdoctoral working station at its
headquarters in 2001.
Hongda Group has achieved more than 20 National Patent Certificates
and Computer Software Registration Certificates and passed ISO 9001
authentication. At present, Hongda Group has undertaken ten odd
large-scale software and hardware projects, induding two projects
with National Torch Plan and four projects with National Focal
Software Engineering and formed strategical partnership with foreign
companies, such as SUN, HO, IBM and Microsoft.
Under Hongda Group there are Changchun Hongda information Sci-Tech
Co., Ltd., Changchun Hongda Optoelectronic and Biostatistics
Indentification Technology Co., Ltd., Changchun Hongda R&D Center of
Information processing, and branches in Beijing, Guangzhou,
Chongqing, Nanjing, Shenchen in China and Hamburg in Germany.
Hongda Group insists on making research, production and marketing a
coordinated process and follows the combined way with colleges,
enterprises and users. Under Hongda Group has 425 staff and workers,
including 357 engineering technical personnel.70% of staff and
workers have undergraduate record. There are 17 doctors, 46 masters,
15 professors (including research fellows, and professorial senior
engineers, 3 guides of doctoral course), associate professors
(including associate research fellows and senior engineers) and 140
middle rank technical personnel among all of staff and workers. The
R&D department includes the software development center and products
development centers:
(1) Under the software development center there are 4 partitions of
system analysis, structure design, coding and program test. The
software development center has undertaken the large-scale software
projects, such as the population comprehensive information
management system, the public security management information
system, the census register office system, the social insurance
management information system, the old-age pension management
information system, the traffic management system, the National
citizenship inquiry service system, the National second generation
ID card information testing system, the Human face image high-speed
matching system and so on.
(2) Under the products development center there are the basic
algorithm research, electronic engineering, opto-machine, new
product researchand engineering, opto-machine, new product research
and engineering laboratories. Their main task is to develop
bio-recognition series of products. The fingerprint series of
products have been listed as National Torch Plan Project in 1999 and
National Key products in 2000.
Hongda Group main business is to develop, sell and integrate
computer network and offer relative technical service.
The main computer application software product-the public security
population comprehensive information management system -has been
upgraded for 6 versions since it came out in 1990. The software
product has covered 80% of the market share in China. On the basis,
the Hongda Group has been doing a lot of intensive research in the
fields of public security office automatization and electronic
trade.
The Ministry of Information Technology Industry has accepted our
application for the National first Class Intelligence Authentication
to computer system integration of the main product -public security
population comprehensive information management system. The Hongda
software Development department has passed the second class
evaluation of software Capability maturity module (CMM) and led into
the advanced software development process for putting products into
international markets.
